Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Fitz Bailey, has revealed that the disappearance of dancehall artiste Stephanie Williams, popularly known as ‘Medikk’, may be linked to an imprisoned convict.

DCP Bailey gave an update on the case today.

Twenty-nine-year-old Williams, of Mayfair, in Red Hills, St. Andrew has been missing since Thursday, August 24.

The Deputy Commissioner said police are still pursuing the investigation into her disappearance.

He stressed that the police force applies the same standards to all the missing persons’ investigations that it undertakes.

There had been complaints from Medikk’s family members that her case was being neglected.
