Local football fraternity mourns former National and Clarendon College striker Dennis ‘Den Den’ Hutchinson
The football fraternity is now in mourning over the death of former National and Clarendon College striker Dennis ‘den den’ Hutchinson.
Hutchinson, a former Boys Town standout, died last night after battling a long illness with his left leg, which was recently amputated.
At the schoolboy level he won the Manning Cup with Tivoli Gardens Comprehensive High School in 1976 before scoring 26 goals to lead clarendon college to the DaCosta cup title the following year in 1977.
A former community development officer with the Social Development Commission for more than a decade, Hutchinson was also the head coach Of the Tivoli All Stars team with whom he won three national basketball league titles.
A graduate of the university of Illinois, Hutchinson was honoured along with clarendon college teammate Lenny Hyde at the annual bell/Zadie memorial match back in 2018. He was 63
