DCP suggests that law enforcers seek to match gangs’ agility, to effectively thwart their criminal activities

Law enforcers must seek to match the agility demonstrated by organized crime groups, to effectively thwart their criminal activities.

That’s according to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr. Kevin Blake.

Dr. Blake was speaking at day two, of the Violent Crime, and Criminal Violence in Jamaica and the United States’ Symposium.

He noted that over the past two decades, law enforcers have significantly disrupted the flow of narcotics and illegal arms and ammunition through the country.

However, Dr. Blake lamented that organized criminal groups have found other ways to continue their transnational activities.

Dr. Blake said more sustainable measures are needed to effectively tackle transnational crime.
