Crystal palace defender Tyrick Mitchell is reportedly weighing up interest from Jamaica after being overlooked yet again by England manager Gareth Southgate.

According to the daily mail……the 24 year old is seriously giving thought to the idea of switching his international allegiance having been courted by Jamaica for over a year. 

It comes after three lions boss Southgate opted against naming a natural left back in his latest squad for the upcoming games against Australia and Italy amid an injury crisis in the position.

Mitchell was selected by Southgate in march 2022, featuring twice against Switzerland and ivory coast, but has not been called on since.

It means the defender is free to make the switch to Jamaica as his England appearances only came in friendly games.

Jamaica have successfully lured a number of England eligible players in recent years including Ethan Pinnock, Mikhail Antonio and Demarai Gray.
