A crucial meeting of directors, managers, and shareholders of the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) has been scheduled to discuss the progress and plans for full recovery of electricity services following the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
The meeting is scheduled for Friday at 8:30 A.M., and follows calls from Energy Minister Daryl Vaz.
It is intended to review the status of restoration efforts across affected areas and to strategize how to ensure swift and comprehensive recovery of services for citizens.
Speaking at a post Cabinet press briefing this morning, Mr. Vaz said the outcome of the meeting and further developments in the recovery efforts will be communicated to the public in a timely manner.
