Criminals with high-powered rifles targeting St. Elizabeth businesses
St. Elizabeth has seen an increase in robberies in recent weeks.
That’s according to the head of the division, Deputy Superintendent Coleridge Minto.
Speaking at a Justice of the Peace awards ceremony in Mandeville, Manchester at the weekend, DSP Minto said men armed with high powered rifles are targeting businesses in the parish.
He said the police have been using Jamaica Eye technology in the fight against crime and other such cameras will be installed in the division in short order.
