Concacaf and FIFA instructors for Inaugural Caribbean Football Union (CFU) next general referee course

All is in place for Thursday’s start of the inaugural Caribbean Football Union (CFU) next general referee course, set to be held at the UWI/JFF captain Horace Burrell Center of Excellence.

The event which runs from July 21– July 25, targets Caribbean referees who are not yet FIFA certified, but who can transition to the rank of FIFA in a year or two.

The course will be led by expert Concacaf and FIFA instructors. The CFU next general referee course fits seamlessly with the CFU’s strategic plan and objective of having at least one panel of CFU referees represented at every FIFA world cup.

The JFF has selected referee Christopher Mason and assistant referee Mojolee Gayle to participate in the course.

The course will involve some twenty – five referees from fourteen member countries of the Caribbean football union.
