Amidst a flare-up of violence in Kingston East, Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson has assured residents that the police will do everything possible to make the communities safe and secure again.

The commissioner spent the night in the division, touring communities such as Dunkirk, Rockfort, Pleasant Heights and Harbour View.

He noted that the tour of the ‘crime band’ would allow him to get a first-hand view of the situation, as well to engage citizens.

The Commissioner said officers will maintain their presence in the space, as they work to reach breakthroughs in the probes into the various crimes.

He urged citizens to tell the police what they know.
