Justice Minister Delroy Chuck has defended the Holness administration saying although workers are getting low wages, they have a steady income.

Speaking at a JLP conference at the weekend, he referred to criticisms from the Opposition People’s National Party, that Jamaica is a low wage economy.

He said the PNP is trying to create strife between the employee and the employer.

While conceding that better wages are needed, he said this can happen through improved productivity.
