Chuck calls on IC to quickly complete investigation into “illicit six”
Justice Minister Delroy Chuck is calling for the investigation into the 6 parliamentarians being probed for illicit enrichment to be completed quickly and the findings made public.
He made the call at the Integrity Commission Oversight Committee meeting on Thursday morning.
Mr Chuck said the report about the investigation has been creating too much speculation.
He said the commission should have completed the investigations before revealing that the 6 parliamentarians are being probed.
He urged the commission to complete the investigation as soon as possible, so that the speculations can end.
In response, director of information and complaints at the Integrity Commission Craig Beresford noted that the commission is not in the business of speculation.
