35 children who are among the persons affected by an arson attack in Gregory Park, St Catherine in August, were gifted book vouchers by the Labour Ministry yesterday.

The vouchers valued at $15,000 each are redeemable at the Kingston bookshop.

Labour Minister Pearnel Charles Jnr noted that the children are from 15 affected families, and that 9 of the 15 are registered beneficiaries of the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH)

Mr Charles Jnr said the Ministry is processing financial aid for the 15 families.

He said other forms of support has been given to the families to include food and toiletries.

As it relates to the PATH, the Minister said the Committee has stared work to revamp the Programme.
