Charges have been laid against the five men who were arrested in connection with a massive cocaine seizure in Havendale, St. Andrew earlier this month.

On Tuesday August 6, police raided a premises at Riverside Drive, resulting in the seizure of several  knitted bags believed to contain cocaine.

The substance weighed over 2,500 kilograms and had an estimated street value of almost $76 million USD.

Head of the Police Crime and Security Portfolio, Deputy Commissioner, Fitz Bailey, gave an update on the case today. 

He said the suspects were charged on Friday.
