Bank of Jamaica’s Governor, Richard Byles has sought to assure Jamaicans that the country’s overall financial system remains safe and reliable.

Governor Byles, who was speaking during the Central Bank’s Quarterly Monetary Policy Press Conference this morning (August 21), said his assurance comes considering concerns the central bank has observed about financial institutions, in recent weeks.

He maintained that the central bank continues to be pro-active in its oversight of the country’s financial systems.
