Body of 26Y/O man washed away by flood waters in St. Andrew during Hurricane Beryl recovered today

The body of 26-year-old Alrick Moncriefe, who was washed away by flood waters in Arnett Gardens, St. Andrew during Hurricane Beryl last week, was recovered this morning.

Moncriefe’s aunt told IRIE FM news that his body was found in the water near the Petrojam plant in Kingston.

She said two relatives identified the body.

During Beryl’s passage on July 3, the former Arnett Gardens under-20 football player was reportedly playing football in his community, when he reportedly attempted to retrieve the ball from a gully and was carried away by the raging waters.

A search was then launched by relatives, firefighters and the police.

The search ended with the discovery of his body today.
