For a second day, students and other commuters have been left stranded as taxi operators withdraw service and mount roadblocks along the Grange Hill to Savanna-La-Mar roadway.

The operators are upset over the deteriorating conditions of the thoroughfare and have called for rehabilitative works to be conducted instead of patching.

Speaking in an IRIE FM interview this morning (September 12), Mr. Wilson acknowledged that the roadway has deteriorated.

He noted, however, that it is quite unfortunate that students’ learning has been affected by the protests.
