PNP makes formal complaint to Political Ombudsman against PM Holness; JLP describes this as nonsense

The People’s National Party, PNP has made a formal complaint to the Office of the Political Ombudsman about alleged breaches of the Political Code of Conduct by Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness. 

This follows statements made by  Dr. Holness, who is the leader of the governing Jamaica Labour Party,  on a political platform yesterday.

Speaking in St. James on Sunday, Dr. Holness urged JLP supporters to protest against demonstrations by the PNP over the appointment of Dennis Chung to the Financial Investigations Division, FID.

In a statement today, PNP Chairman Dr. Angela Brown Burke, said a letter was sent to the Political Ombudsman, and six breaches were cited. 

Among them, Clause 4(a) which states that party officials (including platform speakers) should not make statements which are inflammatory or likely to incite others to confrontation or violence.

And the Jamaica Labour Party has responded to reports that the P-N-P has filed a complaint with the Office of the Political Ombudsman against Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness.
