Minister of Local Government Desmond McKenzie says the National Drought Committee has been meeting to come up with solutions to the current severe drought conditions.

Speaking at the opening ceremony for a water shop in Mile Gully, Manchester, yesterday, Mr. Mckenzie said water has dried up in several areas.

He said the government is working to bring water to residents of affected communities.

As it relates to water shops, Mr. Mckenzie chastised persons who are allegedly using the facilities for commercial purposes.
