Vaz urges entities that got Starlink to activate them

Telecommunications minister Daryl Vaz is urging government entities, agencies and non-governmental organizations to activate the Starlink systems that were allocated to them.

Starlink is being used in the areas that lost telecommunication services due to the passage of Hurricane Melissa, last Tuesday.

Noting that Starlink is not workable if it is not activated, Mr. Vaz said as of Wednesday, only 30% were activated.

Vaz warned that lack of activation on the 600 Starlinks already received may cause the entity to not provide any more.

Mr. Vaz said the 600 Starlink systems received last week were distributed to the most affected areas.
