Gas prices continue to increase amid global market response to Middle East conflict

Motorists will be paying more at the pumps effective today, as fuel prices continue to climb this week amid the global market response to the conflict in the Middle East.

According to the state-owned oil refinery Petrojam,  five of its products cost $4.50 more per litre.  

These are E-10 87 and E-10 90 gasoline, Automotive Diesel oil, Ultra-Low Sulphur Diesel, and Kerosene.

As for Cooking Gas, both Propane and Butane LPG have gone up by $3.6 more per litre. 

The refinery said based on movements in the United States Gulf Coast reference prices for this week, the price range for transportation fuels reflected increases in the order of $13.64 to $38.31 cents per litre. 

Petrojam’s pricing mechanism mitigated the full impact of these prices. 

Dealers and marketing companies will add their respective margins to determine retail prices.
