Jamaica’s  World  Cup  captain   and  Stra  striker  Khadija  bunny  Shaw  is  on the  shortlist  for  world  football’s  most prestigious individual award the Ballon D’or ahead  of  the  the ceremony in Paris on October 30.

Shaw  who  helped  Jamaica’s  Reggae  girls  to  the  round  of  16   at  the  recent   FIFA women’s  World  Cup  in  Australia  and  New  Zealand  is  among  three   Manchester  City  players  among  the  nominees………..the  others   Yui Hasegawa and  Jill Roord .

The Jamaican star scored 20 goals while providing seven assists for Manchester City in  the  women’s  super  league  in  England.

In the  meantime  2022  World  Cup  Golden  ball  winner  Lionel  Messi, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe  lead  the  list  of  30  nominees  on  the  men’s  side.
