Debates for Local Gov’t Election to be held on February 15 and 17

The Jamaica Debates Commission, JDC will host two debates ahead of the Local Government Elections which will be held on February 26. 

As such, Jamaicans will be able to hear from the main political parties about their plans for local government.

In a press conference this morning, JDC Commissioner Brian Schmidt said the debates will be held on February 15 and  17. 

He said the first debate will be on local government policy and how it affects citizens. 

Meanwhile, the second debate will be focused on local government at work. 

The list of debaters from the country’s two main political parties will be released soon.
