Several people are hospitalised following a motor vehicle crash, along the salem main road in runaway bay St. Ann, on Sunday morning.

No death has been reported but, at least 20 people are said to be seriously injured.

Head of the St. Ann Police Division, Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell told Irie Fm news that the crash which occurred shortly after 9am, involved a 15 seater mini bus and a 30 seater coaster.

He said the two drivers had to be cut from the vehicles.

Meantime, Irie Fm’s Dwight Fraser who was passing the scene and opted to offer assistance, said a number of the passengers appeared to have suffered broken bones.
