Members of parliament have been called back to a special meeting of the Lower House, in the wake of reports of issues with the regulations of the St. Catherine state of emergency, that were tabled on Tuesday.
An advisory from parliament said the Lower House will convene at 2 pm on Thursday, for the agenda item public business, tabling of the emergency powers parish of st. Catherine number 3 regulations, 2022, which will revoke the emergency powers parish of St. Catherine number 2 regulations, 2022.
The tabling of the regulations on Tuesday came days after the SOE was imposed on St. Catherine.
Some stakeholders, to include the opposition and human rights lobby groups have expressed concern about the regulations.
