The administration of Anchovy High in St James is working towards the resumption of classes, following devastation of its facilities during Hurricane Melissa.

Principal Dr. Lavern Stewart says all buildings at its junior campus lost the roofs and there was major damage at the other facility. Additionally, looters made off with items following the hurricane.

Speaking in an interview with IRIE FM News, Dr. Stewart says the preliminary assessment of the damage is estimated at over 10 million Jamaican dollars.

At least 750 students of the Anchovy High school have been displaced following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.
