Agriculture Minister Floyd Green says more than 7,000 farmers have already received plant seeds to aid Hurricane Beryl recovery
More than 7000 farmers have already received assistance in the form of plant seeds to kick start their Hurricane Beryl recovery.
Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Floyd Green gave the update during a media briefing on the status of the Agriculture and Fisheries sectors this morning.
It comes amidst concern from some stakeholders that tangible support from the government has been slow in getting to farmers.
It also comes amidst frustration among consumers who are paying high prices for market produce amid shortages of some crops.
Mr. Green said the support has been spread across all parishes.
Meantime, poultry farmers are to begin receiving assistance in the coming days.
