The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) has commenced a digital transformation process which is expected to significantly improve operations.

Minister with Responsibility for Efficiency, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Audrey Marks made the comment at NEPA’s World Town Planning Day Forum.

She said the process, which started about 2 weeks ago, involves transitioning entire rooms of physical files to cloud based servers.

The minister said the undertaking will demonstrate the transformative potential of efficient digitisation.

Marks said digitising the system will also enhance accountability.
