Bass Odyssey CEO Yanique Walford is calling for sound systems in Jamaica to receive the same level of economic recognition and respect often afforded to corporate entities.Speaking with DJ Sunshine on Irie FM’s Wake-Up Call this morning, alongside her father, Keith Walford, Yanique shared her vision for an environment in which sound system businesses can thrive and be recognised for their economic contribution.

Meanwhile, Keith Walford, who founded the 37-year-old award-winning Bass Odyssey, says he is confident that the legacy he has built is in good hands with his offspring at the helm.

This morning’s interview on Irie FM marked the first time the father-and-daughter duo appeared together for a joint interview.
