Second cop shot during confrontation with armed men in Sligoville succumbs

The second police officer, who was shot during a confrontation with armed men in Sligoville, St. Catherine, yesterday, has succumbed to his wounds.
His identity has not been released.
He is the second cop, attached to the Constabulary’s Special Operations Branch, to have died in the shooting incident.
The lawmen were executing an operation in the Five Miles area.
A 10-year-old girl also sustained gunshot wounds and is receiving treatment in hospital.
