Dr. Holness directs police commissioner to intensify planned operations against criminals

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has directed Police Commissioner Dr. Kevin Blake to intensify planned operations against criminal targets.
The latest directive follows the killing of two police officers in Sligoville, St. Catherine, on Friday.
In a video posted to social media, of the Prime Minister speaking to Dr. Blake, Dr. Holness said the latest incident has demonstrated that there is a new level of criminal organization that is a threat to national security.
He said this incident must be a turning point, noting that individuals with criminal intent and the capability to unleash terror on society must be met head-on while civility is maintained.
