Chartered flight being arranged to fly West Indies cricketers home from India….amidst Middle East Tension

The  West  Indies  cricketers  are  still  in  India  following  the  completion  of  their  sojourn  at  the  ICC  Men’s  T20  World  Cup  tournament  on  Sunday.

Their  delay  departure   resulting  from  the  international airspace restrictions  following  the  US-Israel  military  action  against  Iran.

Content  and  media  officer  at   Cricket  West  Indies  Jerome  Foster  says  efforts  are  being  made  to  get  the  team  home  but  the  earliest  departure  will  be  on  Wednesday and  probably  via  chartered  flight.

The  West  Indies  was  eliminated  from  the  World  Cup  on  Sunday  when  they  lost  to  host  India  in  their  final  super-8  match  at  Eden  Gardens  in  Kolkota.

Cricket West Indies  in  the  statement  yesterday   says  the team  currently accommodated in India,  remains safe and well.
