Ken Boothe to be inducted into the Jamaica Music Museum Hall of Fame

Reggae crooner Ken Boothe will be inducted into the Jamaica Music Museum Hall of Fame on February 27, during the 2026 Reggae Gold Awards.

The reggae icon is being honoured for his years of contribution to the music industry.

Speaking on behalf of the reggae veteran, Boothe’s manager Phillip Clarke told Music News earlier today that the recognition means so much more to the artiste coming from his country of birth.

Alongside Ken Boothe’s induction, several other talented musicians have been announced as recipients of the 2026 Reggae Gold Awards, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the Jamaican music industry.These include producer Mikey Bennett, singers Tristan Palmer, Pinchers and Little John. Additionally, veteran bass player and founding member of the iconic Fab 5 Band, Frankie Campbell, will be honoured with the presentation of the Minister’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award ceremony will take place at the National Arena, National Stadium Complex, and will feature performances by Luciano, LUST, Chris Malachi, Richie Stephens, accompanied by the Reggae Symphony Orchestra and Mega Band and Reggae Month Ambassador, Etana.

The Reggae Gold Awards, launched in 2019, aims to preserve the essence of reggae music and inspire future generations.
