Attorney for sprint legend Usain Bolt, Linton Gordon, has welcomed recent developments in the Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) fraud investigation.
Senior executives of the company were taken into custody yesterday following coordinated operations at four locations in St. Andrew and St. James.
The Financial Investigations Division (FID) is expected to give an update on the case.
Bolt is among the investors affected by the scandal.
In January 2023, it was revealed that over US$12 million was missing from his investment account at SSL.
Mr Gordon said he is awaiting further details regarding the arrests and ongoing inquiries.
He said the recent arrests underscored the need for a comprehensive examination of the matter.
Jean-Ann Panton, is before the court on a 22-count indictment, including charges of forgery, larceny as a servant and engaging in transactions involving criminal property.
