Two police officers were shot and killed by gunmen along Waltham Park Road in St Andrew last evening.

Dead are 30-year-old Constable Charles Stewart attached to the Spanish Town police and 32-year-old Constable Jemarey Gordon from the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch, CTOC.

Police reports are that about 7:38 P.M., the officers responded to reports of an altercation involving 4 men in the Waltham Park Road area.

Investigators say the Constables went to the scene and attempted to quell the altercation, when one of the men pulled a weapon killing both officers.
