Police seek taxi operator Brandon Mayne as probe continues into murder of mother and daughter yesterday

The St Catherine North police have named a person of interest in relation to the killing of a mother and daughter in Spanish Town, yesterday.

Dead are 29-year-old teacher Tara Pinnock and 14-year-old Tahlia Wright.

They were found at home with stab wounds all over their bodies.

Taxi operator Brandon Mayne is being asked to contact the police immediately.

Head of the Division Senior Superintendent Hopton Nicholson said based on preliminary reports the matter stems from a domestic dispute.

He is also calling on anyone with information about the incident to contact the police.

Meanwhile, The Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) has condemned the killing of an educator and her daughter in Spanish Town, St. Catherine yesterday.

Reacting to the incident, JTA President Mark Malabver urged the authorities to pursue the matter ferociously, and to bring those responsible to justice.

Mr. Malabver said support will be given to the late teacher’s family and colleagues.
