Royal Caribbean Cruise Line delivers US$1M worth of relief supplies

International aid continues to pour in for Jamaica in the aftermath of hurricane Melissa, this time from Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

The Rhapsody of the Seas ship made a special call at the Port of Falmouth in Trelawny on Tuesday and delivered relief supplies, valued at US$1M, in support of Jamaica’s ongoing recovery efforts.

The Port Authority of Jamaica said the ship’s call was exclusively for the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett welcomed the support, noting the gesture of solidarity from longstanding cruise partners.

He said more support from the cruise industry is expected in the coming days.
