UWI students get 50% tuition discount for Semester 1 with extended payment deadline in aftermath of Hurricane Melissa
The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, has rolled out several initiatives to support the re-engagement of students affected by Hurricane Melissa.
This is part of the institution’s Student Solidarity Programme.
The initiatives include providing a safe physical space, psychosocial support and flexible academic options such as online resources, as well as assessment and class deferrals.
The campus is also offering financial relief through a 50% tuition discount for Semester 1 with an extended payment deadline, while also delaying the resumption of face-to-face operations at the western campus site.
