As Jamaica braces for the potential impact of Tropical Storm Melissa, Environment Minister Matthew Samuda is urging citizens to be cautious of the sources from which they get weather updates.

Speaking at Jamaica House this afternoon, Mr Samuda stated that it has come to his attention that incorrect information about the weather system is being circulated.

Persons are advised to seek information from official sources, such as the Met Service and the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM).
