A woman was chopped to death and her daughter wounded at home in Rose Hill District, Lawrence Tavern, St. Andrew yesterday.

The deceased is 32-year-old Sashana Shaw, a bar operator.

Police say Shaw and her daughter were home at around 10:30 A.M. when a man pounced upon them and attacked them with a machete.

Shaw and her daughter were taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead and her daughter admitted.
