240 people have been fatally shot by the security forces since the start of the year.

The latest incident occurred yesterday afternoon in St. Andrew.

The identity of the deceased has not been released.

According to the police, the incident resulted in a traffic pile-up along Lawrence Drive and Mannings Hill.

That incident came hours after the fatal shooting of a man along Maiden Street in Kingston 16.

Dead is Joshua Lawrence, otherwise called “Southy”.

Police said Lawrence was one of the suspects in last Tuesday’s mass shooting along Text Lane.

Six people were wounded in the incident.

An autistic teen, Jabore Campbell – who was one of three children wounded and hospitalized after the attack – died on Saturday.
