UTECH President is calling on the Gov’t to invest more in tertiary education, to develop a workforce that meets critical needs
President of the University of Technology (UTECH), Dr. Kevin Brown is calling on the government to invest more in tertiary education, to develop a workforce that meets critical needs.
Dr. Brown says if Jamaica is to grow, it has to attract real industry, by getting involved in the design and manufacturing of technology.
He says that if the workforce is developed to a critical level, it will give foreign investors the confidence that the workforce is available should they choose to invest in Jamaica.
Dr. Brown was speaking at the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU)’s Industry Conference yesterday.
