JFF secures US$500,000 sponsorship deal with Visa to back Reggae Boyz World Cup campaign
The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has signed a new sponsorship agreement with global payments giant Visa, making the company the newest official partner of the Reggae Boyz as they continue their push for World Cup qualification.
The two-year deal, valued at US$500,000 (approximately JM$80 million), positions Visa as the JFF’s official payment technology partner.
To kick off the partnership, Visa cardholders will enjoy an exclusive 40% discount on tickets for Jamaica’s upcoming home qualifier against Bermuda on October 14. The offer will be available for 48 hours from September 26–28, exclusively via jff.quapid.com.
JFF President Michael Ricketts welcomed the sponsorship, noting that Visa’s contribution went beyond financial support.
“Supporting our Reggae Boyz goes beyond funding the team’s preparation. Visa has extended savings directly to our fans, and we are confident this will inspire even greater support in the stands,” Ricketts said.
Interim JFF General Secretary, Roy Simpson, highlighted the wider impact of the agreement.
“Visa’s commitment is not only financial; it demonstrates belief in the Reggae Boyz and in the power of football to unite Jamaicans at home and abroad. Their support will help strengthen our preparations and create unforgettable experiences for our fans.”
JFF Ambassador with responsibility for sponsorship, Tanya Lee Perkins, expressed pride in finalizing the deal.
“After months of negotiating, this is a solid partnership that gives us great pride because of how many plans Visa has tabled to support both the fans and the Boyz. We cannot thank Visa enough for throwing their weight behind The Boyz and our supporters.”
The Reggae Boyz are currently atop their World Cup qualification group with six points from two matches, scoring six goals without conceding. They face Curaçao away on October 10 before hosting Bermuda at the National Stadium on October 14 in what could prove to be a crucial step toward securing a place on football’s biggest stage.
