The Portland police are investigating a suspected drowning involving a sixth-form student from Titchfield High School at Bikini Beach in Port Antonio yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Vijay Papley.

According to police reports, at around 1:45 P.M., Papley went swimming with friends, who later noticed he was missing and raised the alarm.

Upon arrival, police conducted a search and later found Papley unresponsive, floating in a section of the water.

Investigation is ongoing.
