Constable Nicola Hemmings was laid to rest today.

Constable Hemmings died on August 14 after a period of illness.

She was 34 years old.

She was attached to the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s planning, research and development branch up to the time of her death.

Scores of people, including, relatives, friends and members of the JCF, gathered at the Boulevard Baptist Church in Kingston today, to pay their final respects to the constable.

Among attendees was member of the Jamaica Police Federation Detective Corporal Peta Gaye Williams, who gave a tribute.

Noting that Constable Hemmings joined the force in late 2021, Detective Corporal Williams said the late cop made significant contributions to the force.

She assured that the Police Federation will always support members, even in times of sickness.
