Opposition names its slate of Senators

Opposition Leader Mark Golding has announced the eight persons to be sworn in as opposition Senators tomorrow.

There will be five new people among them.

They are: Kisha Anderson, Allan Bernard, Dr. Maziki Thame, Ramon Small-Ferguson, and Cleveland Tomlinson.

And returning to the Senate are: Donna Scott-Mottley, Floyd Morris and Lambert Brown.

In a statement today, the Opposition Leader expressed confidence that the new Senate team will provide strong and effective representation in the Upper House, ensuring accountability in the nation’s governance.

The Opposition Leader said the Senators bring a wealth and variety of relevant expertise, experience, and commitment to national service.

He said the Peoples National Party (PNP) believes that collectively, they represent the values and vision of the party, and will play a critical role in advancing policies and reviewing legislation that promote social justice, equity, and sustainable development for Jamaicans.
