PNP expresses concerns about what it calls “extensive and vulgar” use of state resources to impact election
The People’s National Party (PNP) says it’s deeply concerned about what it described as the extensive and vulgar use of state resources to impact the election, during campaigning.
PNP President Mark Golding says the country has to look at how public resources are used in support of political achievements in an election period.
He cited as example, the distribution of benefits, including black tanks, building material and cash.
Mr. Golding also made reference to political advertising and alleged voter suppression.
He noted that the PNP has not made a formal complaint to any state agency about voter suppression.
He said the Party will undertake a field survey in the constituencies impacted by various issues during the election campaign period.
