A man was shot and wounded along lower Caledonia Main Road in Mandeville, Manchester earlier this morning.

Preliminary reports are that about 7:30 AM loud explosions were heard shortly after a Toyota Corolla crashed into the rear of another motor vehicle.

Checks were made and a man was found in the Toyota Corolla, suffering from gunshot wounds.

His condition is not known.

One man told IRIE FM News, that he heard the explosions, and expressed concern about safety in the area.
