The Electoral Office of Jamaica has completed the final count of ballots cast in the general election for 57 constituencies.

As at 6 PM yesterday, approximately 97 percent of the 7294 boxes across the island were counted.

The counting of ballots continues for the other 6 constituencies by returning officers in the presence of the candidates and/or their representatives.

The EOJ is urging citizens to be patient as it goes through the counting process.
