Leaders address how to deal with corruption during election debate
Jamaica Labour Party Leader Dr. Andrew Holness has stated that he is the politician with the greatest moral authority to address corruption.
Dr. Holness, who was speaking during last night’s leadership debate, was responding to a question about persons who refuse to vote because they believe political parties are corrupt and how would the leaders hold politicians accountable.
Dr. Holness said corruption is a serious problem in Jamaica and requires strong leadership. He added that as Prime Minister, he has taken action against any member of his party that has been involved or accused of anything that suggests corruption.
Meanwhile, The People’s National Party Leader, Mark Golding said he’s committed to ensuring all members of his executive have their Integrity Commission declaration published.
