JDC says preparations for this evening’s economy debate are fully in place
The Jamaica Debates Commission (JDC) says preparations for this evening’s general election debate are fully in place.
The debate, which is the second in the series, will focus on the economy.
The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) will be represented by Fayval Williams, Dr. Christopher Tufton and Dr. Dana Morris-Dixon.
They will go up against the People’s National Party (PNP’s) Julian Robinson, Peter Bunting and Kisha Anderson.
With only about nine hours to go before the debate begins, JDC Chairman, Brian Schmidt told IRIE FM News that “everything is ready” for this evening’s staging.
The economy debate is scheduled for 9 pm at the Creative Production and Training Centre in Kingston.
It will be broadcast live on radio and television.
The final debate – the leadership debate between the JLP’s Dr. Andrew Holness and the PNP’s Mark Golding – is scheduled for Thursday, August 28.
