Veteran sports administrator at INSPORTS Cloyfeld ‘Patsy’ Thomas-Davis is dead

Sections of Jamaica’s sporting fraternity is today mourning the passing of veteran sports administrator at the Institute of Sports Cloyfeld ‘Patsy’ Thomas-Davis.
Mrs Thomas-Davis, died on Wednesday morning after a long battle with illness.
During her sojourn in sports, she managed former national WNBA star the late Simone Edwards during her professional career and served at Insports for over 30 years in various capacities from administrator, liaison officer, to athlete manager with seeveral local sporting organisations, including the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA’S and Special Olympics Jamaica.
Mrs Thomas-Davis collapsed on May 20, last year, at the University of the West Indies during the Insports Primary Schools All-Island Championship, where she was responsible for the housing of the athletes from all over the island.
She had two brain surgeries but never fully regained consciousness in her recovery process.
Thomas-Davis who also worked at the ministry of culture, gender, entertainment and sports is considered a true servant of sports in jamaica.
she was 69.
